Washington D.C. band Dot Dash, made up of ex-members of Julie Ocean, The Saturday People, Youth Brigade, Velocity Girl, and others just released their latest record, Half-Remembered Dream, on Canadian indie label The Beautiful Music. I really enjoyed the one Julie Ocean record, and if this track is an indication, Dot Dash doesn’t stray far from the template. Below is the breathless pop nugget (Here’s to) The Ghosts of the Past. A bit of Ned’s Atomic Dustbin, some Eugenius, plus a touch of the modern. Right in my wheelhouse.
