Big release Tuesday including new McCartney, Pearl Jam, Head and the Heart, and several more. But the album that’s getting the most attention from me today is the first new collection of tunes from Toad the Wet Sprocket in 16 years. Toad is a band that played an active role in my formative years. I went through a stretch where one of the only songs I wanted to hear was Pale’s Don’t Go Away. They’ve never been a band that conquered new ground, but their songs always spoke to me. I had a blast catching them at the Vogue earlier this year. Hope they’ll stick around for a while.
